The DCEU is so funny to me, because you would have to be eating paste and huffing tar to fumble a franchise with the popularity and weight of DC Comics, but the executives at Warner Bros gave the reins of the franchise to Zack “God’s Strongest Accidental Fascist” Snyder and let him just slowly wedge the franchise into a complete standstill like Austin Powers on that luggage cart
Christopher Nolan made a Batman movie so good that it snagged nine Oscar nominations and won two. All DC had to do was restructure some scripts from Justice League Unlimited, and they’d keep the ball rolling forever. But no, every day Warner Brothers and Zack Snyder clocked into work at the Fumbling the Bag Factory and aimed to be employee of the month, and now The Flash movie is slated to make less than ANY of the movies featuring Quicksilver, who is literally The Flash but in Blue. And to this day the only thing I know about The Flash is that Ezra Miller puts a baby in the microwave.
This clip is edited a bit, and the context makes it marginally less bizarre, but the gif is so much funnier if you see it like this that I’ve just decided to present it without explanation.
I love all the knights in the pale court mod (and the secret bonus haha) but I have to say
Seeing and hearing the dream entrance on Hegemol’s fight… Actually genuinely made me tear up.
I can’t explain it. You all know how much passion and love I have for the ambiance of Queen’s Station, right? It’s kind of like that but the place was so alive. And we get to see it! It’s a tram but it’s the same glimpse of the past visually there to show us the bustling of the area!
Okay, poor maggots for sure but I can’t not get emotional about the way this place in hallownest use to be. The music behind it hit so right with the scenery.
I think part of me in general always wanted to see any trace of the kingdom as lively as it use to be. And damn, did folks behind the mod delivered.

Pale King HAD all of this! All of it! It wasn’t like an imaginary magical kingdom that is glorified through records and texts, be beacon of all kingdoms, the supposed “last” civilization (that part was an intentional lie or an exaggeration, PK was very proud of his work), the Hallownest!
PK MADE it real, it was HIS kingdom, it was THERE! And it was glorious! (you know, for majority of the bugs under his rule anyways)
That was the civilization he did everything wrong to have and keep!
It’s almost as if PK himself was dazzled by his own majesty of the kingdom of Hallownest. Truthfully, he just cared so much for it. Maybe it wasn’t built and kept standing all perfect and good but he did succeeded in making it the way he envisioned it.
And so much of that past LINGERS because of that, it lingers so heavily because he couldn’t let it go, it’s literally haunting. It was too much for him.
Kind of related to that post I made a couple days ago but I love you people who make “odd” animal-like noises, especially people who don’t do that on purpose, I love you people who growl when they’re frustrated, I love you people who mimic the animals around them, I love you people who bare their teeth when feeling threatened/on edge, I love you people who make purring noises when they’re happy/satisfied
